OPS HelpDesk Position

College of Medicine – HelpDesk Support Technician

The College of Medicine HelpDesk is currently seeking one or two fulltime OPS employee to act as first tier support to the faculty, staff and students within the College.  Our HelpDesk aids our customers with any technology needs that arise.

The daily activities include:

– Responsible for troubleshooting computer hardware and software for solutions.

– Assists with administration and support of classrooms, computer labs, library and multi-media equipment. Assists with troubleshooting end-user issues relating to telephone system features and instruments, videoconferencing and remote connectivity of computers.

– Analyzes problems, develops solutions and implements computer software and hardware. Uses automated help desk tracking system and other record keeping procedures relating to responsibilities.

– Assists in the use and maintenance of image capture devices to include scanners and digital cameras.

– Assists in property inventory tracking. Monitors supplies and equipment inventories for help desk operations.

– Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and/or graphic design a plus

– Responding to requests for service from tickets, walk-up patrons and phone calls

 

Strong communication skills and a focus on customer service a must.
