OPS – senior technician/sysadmin

Modern Languages has an immediate opening for a senior computer technician/systems administrator, approx. 20hrs/wk.

The work involves all aspects of maintaining our network, setting up user groups and profiles, installing clients and software, and providing support to the end users. Modern Languages supports a network of 150 PCs in lab settings and 50 PCs in the offices. The network is running  Windows 2000 domain with active directory, servers all are 2003, we do use GPOs to set up and maintain clients.

The person must be dependable, and should be able to work independently. He/she must have strong knowledge of WinServer 2003/WinXPPro server/client procedures (GPOs, using ghost, network security, etc.), general networking tasks, and be able to provide help to our end users.  – Pay depends on qualifications and experience.
