The Division of Library and Information Services, Florida Department of State is seeking a part-time Web Developer to begin immediately through June 2011. This is a part time, temporary OPS position and does not include benefits. Work hours must be between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm but are flexible.
Salary Range: $13.00 an hour / min. 20 hours a week (additional hours may be possible)
Primary Tasks
- Design, build, or maintain web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media
- Perform or direct web site updates
- Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems
Requirements
– Ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment and to work independently
– Ability to prioritize and organize work and assignments
– Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
– Ability to utilize problem solving and technical skills with limited assistance
– Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, design techniques, tools and procedures for production of web sites.
– In-depth knowledge of web-design through HTML and CSS
– Basic knowledge of graphic design with Photoshop or Fireworks
Preferred
– Advanced graphic design skills with Photoshop, Fireworks, and Illustrator
– Basic PHP application development skills
– Basic ColdFusion development skills
– Knowledge of the framework of the Drupal content management system
– Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL software
