The SDRC is looking for someone highly responsible and attentive to detail  interested in working an ops position- 30 hours a week at $8.50 an hour. Hours can be flexible.

The position would involve working with various OCR capturing software to convert textbooks into various formats for students who have print disabilities.

For example, some students use the following screen readers: Kurzweil , Adobe Reader or JAWS, etc to read their books which in turn influence the format type.

Also, this position would require learning how to Braille for our students who are blind and would require use of voice recognition software.

This position would require some supervisory responsibilities. It is an exciting opportunity for any information professional as it will give another perspective on how information is accessed for those students who have print disabilities.
