Responsibilities
Responsible for the development of program promotional, course promotional, course introductory, high-end lecture capture, and other media as needed. The production of these media products includes scripting, storyboarding, shooting, editing, capturing b-roll footage, music composition and animation. Must be familiar with media production hardware and software such as Tricaster ,Adobe Premier Pro, Kaltura Media Services, Motion,Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, After Effects and Flash Pro). Responsible for managing a variety of complex technical tasks associated with audio, video, and related media production within the established policies of ODL and the University.
This position establishes and maintains production and a high level of technical quality at an efficient level of volume.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and four years* of experience related to the duties of the job; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years in the same.
(Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Experience or knowledge of media products including scripting, storyboarding, shooting, editing, capturing b-roll footage, music composition and animation.
Experience with media production hardware and software such as Tricaster, Final Cut Pro, Kaultura Media Services, Motion, Logic Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Camtasia and Adobe Create Suite (PhotoShop, After Effects and Flash Pro).
Experience interpreting policies concerning copyright, software licensing, web publishing and accessibility.
Experience in establishing production procedures, establishing and implementing production schedules.
Experience training employees.
