Florida State University School of Library & Information Studies (FSU SLIS) alumna, Kathleen Moeller-Peiffer, was selected as the vice president/president-elect of the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA).  ASCLA is the destination for American Library Association (ALA) members to find information and help populations that are served by libraries.  Her division of the ASCLA includes members from networks across the nation, including other state librarians and librarians dedicated to working with specialized populations such as the blind, physically handicapped, and incarcerated youths. 

Moeller-Peiffer received her Master’s in Library Sciences at FSU SLIS, and studied at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for a school library specialist certification.  A veteran of public, school, and academic libraries alike, she has worked in several key positions with the New Jersey State Library (NJSL).  Since 2003, Moeller-Peiffer has been employed at the NJSL as a project specialist; deputy director and director of the Library Development Bureau; Associate State Librarian; and currently serves as Deputy State Librarian for Lifelong Learning.
