Carol Burkard from Kennedy Space Center (KSC) will present a lively 60-minute lecture “Knowledge Management Applied: Maximizing the Corporate Value of Intellectual Property, the NASA Model” on Monday, November 17 from noon to 1 p.m. Room 008, Louis Shores Building.
The 45-minute presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A period, will address: 1)The technological benefits (diffusion of technology) from the space program into the economy (i.e velcro etc): NASA SpinOffs. 2)How intellectual property at KSC is turned into money making ventures: a) What constitutes intellectual property, b) what is the procedure to protect it, c)who benefits from it and, d)where is it headed. 3)What type of research programs are at KSC and how can FSU faculty & students be a part of this.
Carol has volunteered to bring resumes/CVs back to KSC.
