On Jan. 13, two FSU School of Information Studies doctoral students scored in the Doctoral Poster Session at the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) 2005 Annual Conference in Boston.
Renee Franklin received the second place award with her poster “Be Careful, Little Eyes, What You See: A Study of Challenges to Materials in Private College Preparatory School Media Centers.” Fellow student, Myongho (Lee) Yi, received an honorable mention for “Bringing Order to Chaos: An Ontology-based Knowledge Management System.”
The posters were chosen out of a field of 90 contestants. The School of Information Studies was represented by 13 of our doctoral students, all of which received positive comments from the attendees. Congratulations to Renee, Lee, and all of our contestants.
