The Medical Library Association (MLA) is calling all qualified candidates to apply for the 2020 MLA Scholarship for Minority Students. MLA wants to support your excellence in scholarship and potential for accomplishment in health sciences librarianship. The scholarship is for up to $5,000 plus one year of student membership in MLA and free inclusive student registration at the 2020 annual meeting in Portland, Oregon.
Please consider applying if you are:
- a member of ab underrepresented group, such as Black or African-American, Hispanic or Latinx, Asian, Aboriginal, North American Indian or Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander.
- entering a master’s program at an American Library Association (ALA)–accredited graduate library school or, at the time of the granting of the scholarship (February), have completed no more than one-half of the academic requirements of the graduate program.
- a citizen of or have permanent residence in either the United States or Canada.
- are not a past recipient of the MLA Scholarship or the MLA Scholarship for Minority Students
Membership in MLA is not required.
