Marketing and Communication Intern @ CareerSource Capital Region (CSCR)

CareerSource Capital Region (CSCR) is a non-profit, regional workforce board located in Tallahassee that connects employers with qualified, skilled talent and Floridians with employment and career development opportunities to achieve economic prosperity. A large portion of CSCR’s success rests on effectively providing solutions to its business and career seeker clients. To support the Marketing and Communications Department, CSCR is seeking a dynamic intern who wants an intern experience that will aid his/her long- term professional development. A stipend is included with this position.

This hands-on internship will give the selected candidate the opportunity to be creative and utilize technical skills to increase digital audiences. Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate w/ a junior or senior classification (Communications, Journalism, or Marketing majors preferred) or graduate-level student
  • Strong writing ability (to write website, newsletter, marketing copy, radio scripts, etc.)
  • Familiarity with social media posting (including social media management tools such as Hootsuite)
  • Graphic design as well as photography/videography skills helpful
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Criminal background screen required

Duties:

  • Supports digital marketing campaigns, initiatives and executions
  • Contributes to overall marketing projects for a variety of programs, initiatives and events
  • Assists with all aspects of Marketing and Communications strategies to provide real world, hands-on experiences
  • Build an engaging mixed media asset library, including slide deck presentations, infographics, print publication designs, as well as formatting existing marketing content to be customer education specific.
  • Edit and manipulate image assets quickly and efficiently to create a variety of visual mockups for client deliverables
  • Create new compelling digital media content and graphics (Canva)
  • Collaborate with marketing team to align brand strategies and maintain company brand guidelines

Intern availability for two or more semesters preferred.
