The Training Specialist provides training sessions for our clients and assists with graphic design and development of instructional material for courses that support company technical products.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Produce high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Implement current methods, best practices, and technologies to provide state-of-the-art learning experiences for our clients.
• Conduct in-house/off-site computer-based technical training classes.
• Create and modify exams, quizzes, and hands-on assessments for customers, technicians, and in-house training.
• Maintain content as needed in the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Schedule and conduct webinars for new and existing customers.
• Design interactive and multimedia learning environments for in-house and off-site implementation. • Present information with various instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, etc. keeping in mind the different learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) for full engagement.
• Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools for presentations and course development. • Conduct and assist in analyzing training performance surveys to determine long-term effectiveness.
• Revise course outlines and curriculum as needed based on attendee feedback or product changes and enhancements. • Perform various administrative tasks including but not limited to processing customer payments, setting up the classroom for incoming students, and ensuring training materials are sent to students and new customers prior to class. • Manage the department’s emails and voicemail by responding to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner. • Assist with developing training calendars, schedules, and other miscellaneous job-related duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in English, Graphic Design, or technical field, a plus; will consider relevant years’ experience in lieu of degree. • Approximately 3 years experience with documentation, graphic design, or instructional design, preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical students.
• Ability to quickly gain a strong understanding of Syntech’s fuel management equipment, hardware, and software.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint and multimedia development and authoring tools. • Ability to become highly proficient with our Learning Management System. • Ability to excel in a team-based environment, supporting the team’s success.
• Must have a good driving record and be willing to travel when necessary.
