Ingram Library seeks a team player and forward thinker to join our faculty as our Serials and Electronic Resources Cataloger.  Reporting to the Senior Cataloger and in close coordination with Acquisitions/Serials, Government Documents, and other departments, this person catalogs serials in all formats, maintains related records, and catalogs electronic and other resources. Twelve-month, tenure-track position with appointment at Instructor or Assistant Professor rank.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Catalogs serials in all formats, maintains related records, and catalogs electronic and other resources; works with other departments with serials and/or cataloging tasks; serves as liaison to assigned academic departments, which includes collection development and bibliographic instruction; provides reference service within the day, evening, and weekend rotation schedule of the library; and performs other professional duties as assigned. As a full member of the campus faculty, professional contributions and service to the institution are required for merit and promotion.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS. Demonstrated knowledge of principles of cataloging, AACR2, MARC 21 formats, LC classification and subject headings, OCLC, and issues/trends in managing electronic resources. Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. Second graduate degree required for appointment above Instructor rank or within time period specified to fulfill campus promotion/tenure requirements. Must be eligible to work permanently in the U.S and pass criminal background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Post-MLS cataloging experience, preferably serials, on OCLC in an academic library. Experience with integrated library system, preferably Voyager. Experience managing electronic journal holdings.

Salary: $42,000 minimum. (Dependent upon qualifications)
