PMO Intern Skill Sets & Responsibilities
The Florida Digital Service Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking a highly motivated intern to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced government technology environment. This internship offers the chance to apply and develop critical skills such as critical thinking, time management, communication, and technical literacy while contributing to significant statewide digital initiatives. Key tasks will include assisting with research and design for enterprise presentations on topics like user acceptance testing and risk management, coordinating metric tracking for Digital Foundations projects, and assisting with the monthly maintenance of project oversight report documents (including reviewing risks, issues, and KPIs). This role is ideal for a flexible and adaptable individual eager to support the efficient execution of major IT projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with research and design for enterprise presentations (user acceptance testing, organizational change management, risk management, etc.)
  • Coordinating with the primary oversight contact to track the Digital Foundations metrics at the project level and aggregating to a PMO level
  • Assisting with maintaining the oversight report documents for each project on a monthly basis (reviewing documentation and maintaining project risks, issues, KPIs, etc.)
