As part of this year’s United Way campaign, the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the School of Information Studies will celebrate diversity with an International Cook-Off and International Cookbook.
Faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the School of Information Studies are being asked to bring their favorite international dishes to the School’s International Cook-Off on Thursday, Dec. 2. The dishes will be offered in front of the Louis Shores Building from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in exchange for donations to the United Way. Diners will vote for their favorite dish and a prize will be awarded to the faculty, staff, student or alumnus who receives the most votes. Everyone is invited to partake in delicious culinary delights, celebrate diversity, and contribute to a worthy cause!
The FSU School of Information Studies International Cookbook is being compiled as another United Way fundraiser. All faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends are being asked to contribute their favorite international recipe(s) by emailing them to recipe@lis.fsu.edu by the deadline of Nov. 29, 2004 (use format below). The international cookbook will be available for a contribution of $3.00 at the International Cook-Off on Thursday, Dec. 2.
Everyone is invited to be a part of this celebration of the melting pot that is our heritage and the delicious diversity it has brought us!
