ERP Internship

Florida State University – Office of Enterprise Resource Planning

The ERP office at FSU is looking for students that are interested in learning more about Enterprise Resource Planning*.   This internship will be offered to students that have a technical background.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching, analyzing and supporting the issues within the PeopleSoft OMNI system.
  • Responsible for reviewing business requirements needed for new design.
  • Technical development work based on these requirements.
  • Development and maintenance of operational reports, programs.

Candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to document existing and new processes
  • Ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users
  • Knowledge of database technology and terminology
  • Has successfully completed at least one course in Object Oriented Programming
  • Has successfully completed at least one course in Database technology.
  • Junior or Senior w/ minimum 3.0 GPA

Other requirements / information:

  • Looking for a minimum two semester commitment
  • 20 hours a week
  • Pay $10.00/hr

* Enterprise Resource Planning is a term that is defined as a collection of software programs that tie together an enterprise’s various functions, such as human resources, finance, marketing and sales. The software also enables an analysis of the data to plan production, forecast sales and analyze quality.  Almost all, if not all, top companies use ERP software to run various aspects of their business.  Additionally, more and more government and educational entities are deploying ERP software as a way to manage and enhance their decision making abilities.
