Professor John Bertot’s article “Libraries and networked information services: issues and consideration in measurement” has been named as Outstanding Paper for 2005 for the publication Performance Measurement Metrics: The International Journal for Library Information Services by Emerald, as part of the publisher’s Literati Club Awards for Excellence. Emerald publishes a wide range of management and library information services journals.
Each year, the editorial staff of each of Emerald’s journals is asked to select a winner of an “Outstanding Paper” award and up to three “Highly Commended” awards from the previous years’ volume. An outstanding paper “should have special something that raises it above all others” which the editorial staff can recognize and define. This year they selected Dr. Bertot’s.
Dr. Bertot’s journal article focuses on selected issues that libraries face regarding the assessment of electronic services and resources.
