School of Communication Launches Inaugural Advisory Council
The School of Communication (SCOM) held the first meeting of its inaugural advisory council on Jan. 27, marking a major milestone. The council brings together alumni and industry leaders who represent all academic areas within the school. School of Communication Alumnus Aidan Marengo served as the Visual Arts Lead for the FSU international Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) team, which won a gold medal for the second year in a row at the iGEM Grand Jamboree. The iGEM Grand Jamboree was held from Oct. 28-31, 2025, at the Paris Convention Centre in France, where FSU was one of two universities from Florida with an iGEM team.
