After graduating from FSU in May 2026, Yasamin Khosh took her next step in New York City (NYC), where she serves as Executive Assistant to the President and select partners of SKDK. Additionally, Khosh has become involved with the Seminole Club of NYC.

Khosh, who earned her bachelor’s degree in Media/Communication Studies, recently joined the Seminole Club of NYC as a secretary and communications officer. The club organizes events for FSU alumni in the New York area while also raising funds for scholarships, campus campaigns, and other special projects.

Khosh said her involvement is a way to continue the alumni connections that were important to her when she was a student. While at FSU, she was involved with organizations such as Student Government Association, the Student Foundation, and the Panhellenic Association.

“I really had the best time while I was at Florida State,” Khosh said. “I feel like when you’re a student on campus, especially when you’re an involved student, you always want to connect with alumni who had a really amazing experience during their time at the institution.”

Originally, her goal was to simply attend Seminole Club events and meet other alumni in the city. However, since joining, Khosh has taken on a larger role in expanding the club’s reach. This includes starting a LinkedIn alumni spotlight featuring members of the New York Seminole community and increasing the club’s social media activity. Khosh says that she sends emails regularly to approximately 2,000 area alumni about upcoming events. The clubs Instagram page has also surpassed 5,000 followers this month since her start as communications officer.

A particular focus for Khosh is increasing attendance at football watch parties and creating a support network for FSU graduates moving to New York. She sees the club as an opportunity for recent graduates to establish connections in a city that can otherwise feel difficult to navigate where people often have demanding careers and busy schedules.

“I’m just hoping to continue cultivating a really good support system for Seminoles who are going to be moving to the city after graduation,” Khosh said. “Having that community to stay in contact with or hang out with on the weekends or go to watch parties with is a really, really valuable feeling.”

Khosh hopes her experience can become another resource for current FSU students, particularly those interested in communications and public relations.

“I wouldn’t be here without alumni or without people who I had conversations with when I was a student,” Khosh said. “I just really want more recent graduates to know that is available to them and that it is a community they can go to.”

As she settles into both her career and her new role with the Seminole Club of NYC, Khosh hopes to help bridge the gap between FSU students and the alumni community.
