Two College of Information alumni were highlighted among 51 “people who are shaping the future of libraries” in the 2005 Movers and Shakers supplement to the March issue of Library Journal. Linda Golian-Lui (MLIS, 1988) and Terry Reese (MLIS, 2002) were among those selected from across the US and Canada as “innovative, creative, and making a difference.”
As it has done previously, Library Journal will send copies of the Movers and Shakers supplement to members of Congress, as well as to governors and mayors across the country. In addition, a luncheon at the American Library Association Annual Conference in Chicago in June will celebrate the Movers and Shakers. Please feel free to read about Golian-Lui, honored as a “master mentor.” Please feel free to read about Reese, referred to as a whiz kid having “a genius for thinking up automated solutions to time-consuming manual activities.”
