CCI master's programs info sessions about SLIS (Feb. 11) and COMM (Feb. 15)

IT Info Session Pondering StudentAre you trying to decide what to do after you graduate from FSU or interested in returning to complete your Master’s degree?  Find out about College of Communication and Information (CCI) graduate programs offered at the School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) and School of Communication by attending two info sessions on February 11 at 5 p.m. and February 15 at 3 p.m.

The School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) would like to share information if you are considering earning a Masters’degree—and joining the professions of the growing information services and technology fields! We offer a Masters’ in Library and Information Studies (MLIS), requiring 36 credits. Students may elect to complete their degree, entirely online or in some combination of online and on campus courses.

SLIS accepts and encourages all types of undergraduate degrees for our master’s program. Graduates work in libraries, museums & archives, government, business and the private sector. Almost ALL organizations need information skill sets, which our programs facilitate!

To find out more about SLIS graduate programs, attend an information session with Dr. Christie Koontz, Dr. Linda Swaine, and representatives from the Financial Aid Office and the Career Center on Monday, February 11 at 5 p.m. in the Gregory Conference Room in the Goldstein Library of the Shores Building on the FSU campus.

The School of Communication offers two master’s degree programsMedia and Communication Studies and Integrated Marketing Communication. Both programs give graduates added skills and experience to boost their value in the competitive job market! Working with faculty advisors, students select a program of study that is tailored to their interests and needs. Students from all majors are welcome to apply!
