The cover story of the May 1, 2010 issue of School Library Journal (SLJ) highlights the research of three institutes that are “poised to make the biggest difference” in school libraries, among them the PALM Center at Florida State University.
Drs. Nancy Everhart and Marcia Mardis of the School of Library & Information Studies at CCI are the director and associate director of the Partnerships Advancing Library Media (PALM) center, which concentrates of the leadership role of school librarians and their impact on school technology. Mardis was recently awarded the American Association of School Librarians 2010 Distinguished Service Award.
