Assistant Professor Darrell Burke was recently chosen to receive an award for writing “The Best Paper based on a Dissertation.” The paper is titled, “Opening the Black Box: Measuring Hospital Information Technology Competency,” and it offers a theoretical method to measure organizations’ IT strategy based on diverse stakeholder group needs.
The award, which is given by the Health Care Management Division of the Academy of Management, will be presented to Dr. Burke during the Academy’s annual conference this August in Seattle.
Dr. Burke’s teaching interests include information technology, information strategy and management, operations management, project management, and decision support systems.
