Juliann Cortese, associate professor in the School of Communication, starts her work as associate director on August 8th.
Cortese has been a part of Florida State University since 2005. She has taught and researched in Health Informatics, eHealth, Media Effects, Media Use, Hypermedia Learning and Internet Use.
“The school is lucky to have Dr. Cortese as their associate director,” commented Dean Larry Dennis.
Moving forward, Cortese will assume the role of Dr. Ulla Sypher, who served as associate director for the past six years. The school will continue to provide a modern education for students in a range of communication disciplines.
Dr. Cortese holds a PhD from Ohio State University and a MA from Kent State University.
