Graduate student Lindsey Whittington was a winner of the $1,000 spring Sandy Ulm Scholarship, awarded by the Florida Association for Media in Education (FAME) twice a year to Florida students pursuing an education in the field of library media services.

Lindsey is currently an English teacher at Dixie Country High School in Cross City, Florida, where she incorporates library technology and research into her students’ projects. Her academic and leadership abilities led to her being selected as Dixie County High School’s Teacher of the Year for 2010–11.
