Christine Boatright wins CI scholarship from FLA

MLIS student Christine Boatright has been awarded the 2008 Florida Library Association (FLA) Scholarship for the FSU College of Information. Each year the FLA awards three scholarships of $2,000 to MLIS students: one to an FSU student, one to a USF student, and one to a minority student at either school. The scholarships are primarily funded through donations and a silent auction at the annual FLA conference.

Christine is a fellow in Librarians Serving the Public, a College of Information scholarship program funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services with support from FSU and the Florida library networks. The program is designed to prepare future Florida librarians for their careers by teaching them leadership and management skills. Christine works in the Suwannee River Regional Library System in Live Oak, Florida, and is a member of the FLA.
