The McKnight Doctoral Fellowship program provides fellowships to African American and Hispanic students interested in seeking a doctoral degree. Although currently enrolled doctoral students are not eligible, currently enrolled master’s students who apply to continue as doctoral students at the FSU College of Information are eligible.
Each award provides annual tuition up to $5,000 (tuition above this amount is waived by the participating institution) for each of three academic years plus an annual stipend of $12,000 (an additional two years of support at this same level is provided by the participating institution).
Eligible students should apply for the McKnight fellowship when they apply to the PhD program. FSU received 9 of the 49 fellowships awarded this year. Details of the McKnight program, including eligibility, can be found at the following link: http://www.fefonline.org/.
