Two students were recently awarded scholarships for their outstanding academic achievements.
Kathryn Kennedy, a student pursuing a master’s degree in library and information studies, has been chosen to receive a $6,000 scholarship from the Special Libraries Association (SLA). Ms. Kennedy is enrolled as a distance student while working full-time as a Classification Analyst at the University of Florida’s Division of Human Resources.
Anne Waller, who is also pursuing a master’s degree in library and information studies, was chosen to receive a West Excellence in Law Librarianship Scholarship, a $2,500 award. She is enrolled as a distance student while working full-time as a Library Assistant for the law firm Blank Rome LLP in Washington D.C.
