College of Information master’s students have been awarded two of the three 2005 Florida Library Association (FLA) Scholarships. Harold George will receive one of two General FLA Scholarships and Julio Granda will receive the Minority FLA Scholarship.

The scholarships will be awarded next week (April 12) at the opening ceremony of the 2005 FLA Annual Conference in Jacksonville, Florida. The ceremony will take place from 9:45-11:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront hotel (formerly Adam’s Mark). Dr. Marcella Genz, CI Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Maria Chavez-Hernandez, who directs the College’s recruitment efforts, will be in attendance. Congratulations to our scholars.
