Back by popular demand, the School of Communication has re-instated the Digital Video Production graduate certificate. In response to the changing technological landscape in our mediated world, the certificate is essential for budding producers.

Today’s students are faced with limited choices: Film Production MFA or a traditional research and theory path. This certificate allows graduate students to explore the valuable, fundamental skills of digital video production and then apply those skills across a range of disciplinary applications.

The four class certificate requires foundational course, Foundations of Digital Media (COM 5364), offered this Fall on Thursday afternoons with Professor Malia Bruker. Remaining courses include two specialization courses and a theory course.

Application is available online. The certificate may be completed as a part of a graduate degree program or as a stand-alone certificate. The application is required in addition to the FSU Graduate School application. A Bachelor’s degree is required; undergraduate students are not eligible for admission.
