SLIS senior Charleta Williams was named as “2009 Woman of the Year” by the Multicultural Greek Council of the Florida State University in a ceremony held at the Tallahassee Civic Center on Thursday, April 15.

At the ceremony, Williams was recognized for her outstanding leadership and service to the FSU campus and the Tallahassee community. She is a member of Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, the Association of Information Technology Professionals, STARS Alliance, and Women in Technology Sharing Experience (WISE). She is also secretary for the Multicultural Greek Council Executive Board and the INROADS Student Association.
