The Gamma Chapter of Beta Phi Mu is hosting its Annual Meeting (6:00 p.m.), a reception with cash bar (7:00 p.m.), and dinner with Beta Phi Mu Distinguished Lecture (7:30 p.m.) on Friday, Oct. 28. The event coincides with the 2005 FSU Homecoming Weekend and will take place at the Park Plaza Hotel (formerly the Radisson Hotel), 415 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee. Tickets to the event are $20.
The Beta Phi Mu Distinguished Lecture, “Bridging the Gap: Information Behavior and Information Professionals,” will be presented by a nationally recognized library leader of the technology age, Mary Lee Kennedy. The lecture will center on how technology keeps changing the way in which people create, share, and use information.
