MLIS student wins Hope Award for Best Blog

Katherine (Katie) Schaber, current MLIS online student from Orlando, received the Hope Award for Best Blog from the National Infertility Association. From their website:

from if to when was voted Best Blog for raising awareness about what life is like when you’re faced with infertility. In her winning blog, Katie Schaber addresses the misconception that once you have set on a certain path to motherhood – such as adoption  or once you have a child  –  you are no longer infertile, and you are no longer in pain. “From IF to When” participated in the “Bust an Infertility Myth” Bloggers Unite Project during National Infertility Awareness Week®.

Katie Schaber is 26 years old and lives in Orlando with her husband, Joey, and their dog, Danica. She was diagnosed with infertility in early 2009. After 4 IUIs and various medical issues, Katie and Joey chose to pursue domestic adoption in 2010. Katie launched her blog to document her path to motherhood. from IF to when serves as both an outlet for her emotions and a way for her to connect with others who are going through similar journeys.
