Description
This position will be tasked with daily activities that will help drive Florida TaxWatch social media efforts, and other assorted tasks related to communications.
Social Media/Press
– Daily
• Pick one research report from past 5 years, craft 2+ tweets and 1 Facebook post using stats or info from report
• Find 1-2 news stories relevant to our research and assist Communications Coordinator in finding specific links to TaxWatch research for social media post(s)
– As needed
• Help draft/proofread press releases & other media articles
• Help organize hard copy and digital archive of articles in which TaxWatch has been
mentioned
Digital Production
– As needed
• Work through photos taken at events, isolate best shots, upload to shared drive for staff use
• Help group photos together for social media posts/libraries
• Help take photos/video/audio at any events as needed
Publications/Marketing
– As needed
• Help draft items for publications, articles for promotional materials, etc.
• Other writing/proofreading as needed
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will be a quick learner, interested in developing experience in
communications field, and be able to adapt to change well. Candidate must have excellent writing skills, and an attention to detail.
– This is not a paid position
– Candidate will be expected to work at least 20 hours per week, schedule is flexible
