Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority

The Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority is the chief advocacy organization for Tallahassee’s growing Downtown. The TDIA was established in 1971 with the mission of promoting Tallahassee’s Downtown while encouraging development, new business, and general improvements to the area. Today, the TDIA serves as the chief advocate for all things Downtown. This includes promoting, producing, and sponsoring events as well as marketing Downtown to developers, investors, and everyday citizens and tourists alike.

The TDIA is seeking a communications intern for the late summer and fall of 2013. The perfect candidate would be an enthusiastic, independent, and driven individual who is seeking hands on experience in marketing, design, advertising, copy writing, social media, and other critical communication skills. The candidate should be available to work approximately 20 hours per week on projects related to the roll out and further development of the new TLH Downtown brand set for launch in August.

 

The position is unpaid, but is rich with experience for those seeking to advance their careers and built an impressive portfolio.
