Responsibilities

– Managing updates on live production and development Ubuntu Linux Servers

– Setting up new Linux servers to be used for development and production

– Scanning servers for malicious content

– Setting up and maintaining WordPress blogs and various wiki software

– Managing Linux-based backups

– Managing SVN repository backups

– Managing MySQL database backups

– Researching new and useful WordPress plugins for course and research blogs

– Finding new and creative ways to secure Apache, Lighttpd web servers

– Finding creative solutions for securing MediaWiki and WordPress
