Responsibilities

The Desktop Support Intern is an integral member of a team performing support and technical duties to add value to Support and Office Services. The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Configuring, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices and other computer and telecommunications equipment
Installing Operating Systems, service packs and updates
Installing user software, ensuring licensing compliance and supervisor approval is according to procedures
Reading and following instructions to complete repeatable tasks
Creating and maintaining documentation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of Microsoft application suites (Office 2010 and higher)
Good customer support skills and phone techniques
Basic technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to communicate effectively – verbal and written
Ability to prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Detailed oriented

Qualifications
HIRING SALARY: $12.00 per hour

20 hours per week

Enrolled in an accredited college or university
A junior, senior or graduate student status
Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related study
A good understanding of desktop computing, and
A strong willingness to learn
