ITS is looking for a IT student who is interested in working as an intern at ITS developing an on-line network documentation system.
Keeping track of the hundreds of network devices that ITS maintains is a big task so they are looking to implement an online system such as Netdot. They would like an intern for at least on semester to research the options, make a recommendation, and begin to implement the system chosen.
This internship will not only look great on your resume (much better than flipping burgers) but will provide invaluable experience in a real-life IT shop.
If you are interested and have the following qualifications, please send a resume and cover letter to pjorgensen@fsu.edu with subject “ITS Internship”.
Qualifications
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Good writing skills
- Able to quickly grasp technical concepts
- Basic understanding of network technologies
- Not afraid to do some programming (probably in perl or similar languages)
- Good work habits – on time, focused, organized.
