Internship — Special Collections, Jacksonville University (Jacksonville, FL)

Jacksonville University is seeking an intern to work in Special Collections. Exact working hours are flexible as long as they are within the Library’s normal Monday through Friday Summer operating hours. The duties will center around digitization work and will include (but not be limited to) creating digital versions of print material. Projects would include material such as university yearbooks, dissertations, and presidential papers. The intern will work with a digital camera, flatbed scanner and Windows 7 based PC. Software may include Adobe Lightroom, VueScan, and Microsoft Office products. The successful candidate will have at least a familiarity if not a working competence with the listed software. Prior experience with digitization work is preferred, but not required. There is no financial compensation for the position.

We will conduct interviews and select an intern in time for this to count for your Summer semester. Please submit your material electronically to Shirley Huke (shuke@ju.edu).
