TECHNICAL ASSISTANT INTERNSHIP
LOCATION: FSU Career Center
The Florida State University Career Center is seeking a systems and technology intern. The intern will be report to the Systems Coordinator and will assist with providing technical support for computer-based administrative, instructional, and research applications for the Career Center. The intern may also assist with maintaining The Career Center’s website.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016 applications, particularly Word and Outlook. Familiarity with standard troubleshooting for Windows workstations in a network environment.
Knowledge of and ability to work with HTML and open source CMS solutions, such as Drupal. Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision and to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Good customer service skills.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist with set-up of check in stations for career fairs (sometimes early morning).
- Assist with event set up in Career Center
- Desktop support for staff and student workstations.
- Set up new equipment as needed.
- Update Career Center and related websites.
- Special projects as assigned.
This is an unpaid internship for 10 hours per week.
This internship may fulfill one of the Career Center’s Experiential Learning Recognition programs.
