Job Title: IT Summer Internship
Citizens IT Summer Internship Program – Jacksonville – $15.00/hr
The 2017 program dates are May 30th – August 4th (10 weeks)
The position is full-time 40 hours per week in our Downtown Jacksonville Offices
Normal Business Hours 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday

IT Interns will have the opportunity to get hands on experience working in the Information Technology department. This summer internship will feature real world project work on one of our IT teams. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to and meet deliverables on important projects. Project assignments will be made by IT leadership to best meet the needs of the business.Intern Positions Include The Following

Testing Support – Quality Assurance: You will participate in the requirements review and test planning activities for Citizens Data Warehouse and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Under supervision you will execute the test scripts and analyze the test results.
Data Analysis/ETL Development: You will assist with data mapping and analysis of enterprise business systems. You will document data models and data dictionaries. With guidance, you will create and maintain Transact-SQL scripts.
Systems Analysis: You will participate in agile teams. Learn agile tools, document system requirements, and business design. You will assist with test planning activities.
Systems/Platform/Network Administration: You will join our infrastructure team. Learn about enterprise class platforms, servers and network. Document systems and network topologies and architecture diagrams. Learn IT processes and procedures. Maintain systems and network configurations.
Essential Functions

  • Model ethical behavior and execute job responsibilities in accordance with Citizens’ core values, ethics and information protection policies
  • Experience and participate in the daily workings of assigned IT departments
  • Work on special projects with defined tasks both individually and alongside a group to support various IT departments
  • Analyze data and results to assist in recommendations for business process improvement and other project work
  • Build business and professional skills that will prepare intern for future positions

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Willingness to learn

Required Education And Experience

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or field with skills transferable to position.OR
  • Pursuit of a technical certification at an accredited organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior status
