Reports To: Human Resources Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
- To operate the switchboard, as backup to the main receptionist, and handle all incoming calls efficiently.
- Greet and direct customers, vendors, etc. to the appropriate employee for service.
- Help provide computer support to end users as well as the IT Department.
Major Tasks
- Handle incoming calls, provide assistance and information as required and connect caller with desired party while on the switchboard.
- Act as office receptionist while on the switchboard.
- Route all incoming electronic faxes to appropriate personnel while on the switchboard.
- Record and log all incoming overnight packages while on the switchboard.
- Support IT Department in diagnosing hardware and software problems on site.
- Support IT Department in setting up new computers on network and retiring old computers.
- Distribute deliveries to appropriate personnel.
- Keep all printers and copiers stocked with paper and toner.
- Keep a neat and organized printer and mail room.
10. Responsible for company errands as directed.
11. Collect and stamp mail, by department, and take to the post office daily.
12. Monitor the balance of postage in the machine and replenish when needed.
13. Perform all additionally assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must have a neat appearance and demonstrate effective telephone etiquette.
- Clean driving record and in-force automobile insurance.
- Good oral communication skills.
- High School Diploma
