Media Intern
Communication Team – FSU College of Communication & Information
Position Description:
FSU’s College of Communication and Information (CCI) is seeking a versatile paid intern to join the College’s Communication Team 10 hrs/week in the Spring 2020 semester with intention to move to 20-25 hrs/week in the Summer and Fall 2020 semesters. CCI offers an immersive experience designed to give students real-world experience, valuable skills, and a core portfolio.
Interns can expect to craft narratives for online, print, and social media about faculty, College events, research, alumni, and student profiles. Additionally, interns will assist the College’s Media Specialist with producing digital and print material for a wide variety of needs. Interns will also gain experience in strategizing social media posts, promoting events, and professionally corresponding with alumni.
CCI holds interns to the same standards as full-time staff and encourages a “hands-on” approach. Interns will have their own work load, work space, and deadlines.
Qualifications:
Strong writing and editing skills required; experience with social media preferred. High-level organization and communication skills are a must.
Location: University Center C, Room 4409
Dress Code: Casual
Work hours: 10 hours per week (flexible with class schedule), to be completed between 9:00am and 5:00pm M-F
