Radio Interns

Magic Broadcasting II owns and operates radio stations in California and Florida, and is headquartered in Panama City Beach, where we own and operate five radio stations.  Our latest acquisition is WVFT, Freedom 93 FM, in Tallahassee, which is a News/Talk station.  Magic Broadcasting II in Tallahassee is currently looking for 3-4 interns. None of these are paid positions at this time.  We will be looking for paid part-timers and full-timers very soon, and having served as an intern would give a good candidate the “inside track” to a paid position as we grow.

Good intern candidates will be introduced to all areas and operations of a radio station, and receive training. Candidates for all positions should have excellent people skills (interpersonal communications), be reliable, have good transportation, be trustworthy, honest, focused, professional, and well organized.

Duties will vary for each position depending on our need and on the intern’s skillset and interest, but might include: appearing at local functions representing the radio station, setting up and tearing down remote broadcast equipment and staging areas for on-air talent, working with on-air personalities in studio, planning and researching show prep for on-air talent, running the console in the studio (Board Operators), answering phones for on-air guests, callers, or contest prize winners, writing copy for News stories or radio commercials, assisting the sales department with customer service, gathering News leads via interaction with newsmakers, politicians or lobbyists, and voicing commercials and/or Public Service Announcements.
