PAID INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY:
– 15-20 hrs during summer, fall, and spring semesters with a good possibility of being hired on full time afterwards (usually juniors apply)
Software Developer Intern Job Details:
– Working in a Linux environment with Python and Django web framework to create web applications.
– Helping with design aspects of how our applications should work.
– Testing and debugging current code used in our company’s applications.
– Creating documentation for the various applications and products DCI provides.
– Initial work will be on internal company products which will eventually lead to working in teams to develop secure law enforcement software.
Requirements & Qualifications:
– Majoring in computer criminology, IT, MIS or computer science.
– Any experience with Linux (specifically Python) is a plus or an interest in learning Linux.
– High levels of communication in working on projects.
– Willing to take support calls, so any customer service/support experience a plus.
– Experience with designing/coding web applications (WordPress, PHP, etc) a plus.
– Fun people who enjoy problem solving, dogs, Star Wars, and cake!

This programming internship will be a part-time paid position. As a DCI intern, you will become a key participant with our programming and business development projects. You will make real and direct contributions to the team to the overall success of the company.
