Internship is full-time, mid-January thru mid-May in Chicago

Looking for exceptional students interested in sales with a love of entertainment and/or sports!
Burns works with the nations largest PR Firms, Corporations, Advertising Agencies, Universities, Associations, and Not-For-Profit Groups, helping them select and hire celebrities and athletes, bringing campaigns and events to life.

Sales interns work in the Corporate Partnership Division developing and implementing portions of new business initiatives, reporting directly to V.P. Business Development

The benefits of this internship include learning how to cold call; research companies and contacts; learn the ins-and-outs of developing a prospective client from its infancy through the entire sales process; as well as client management. Not only will this experience improve sales skills, but it will enhance your ability to recognize a new business opportunity, and capitalize on each prospect. Upon completing this internship, you will have a better understanding of the business world, and be fully equipped in order to seize your place on the sales side of it.

What past interns have to say about their experience at Burns:
“The Burns experience was one of the most unique opportunities I’ve ever been offered.  It is not your run-of-the-mill, ‘grab some coffee’ type of internship.  Unlike my past internships, I truly walked away from Burns feeling as if my work was highly valued and meaningful to the success of the company.  Everybody there really helped create an atmosphere where it was acceptable to be yourself while still maintaining a strong work ethic.  The experience gained while at Burns is something you cannot teach in a classroom and I already feel as though I have a leg-up on the competition as I enter the working world.”
Joel Rosenblatt, Summer 2009
“Prior to my time at Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing I was oblivious to the way this specific industry operated. I not only gained valuable experience in becoming acclimated to the protocol and expectations of every single business day, but I polished my sales and communication skills in pursuing new business opportunities. Whether it was sponsorships, celebrity appearances, or cold calling, each day presented a new obstacle that taught me and prepared me better than I could have ever imagined for the workplace upon graduation.”
Kevin Donnelly, Summer 2008
