TheCollegeHelper.com is seeking Summer interns who are interested in sharing their college experience through creating articles for our site.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a professional blogger to write 2 blog posts per week. Each blog post must be at least 600 words.
- Conduct research for blog posts, including reading other blogs, conducting interviews, asking questions on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, etc.
- Learn how to write different types of content (i.e. reviews, ‘how-to’ articles, profile pieces, etc.)
- Comment on 2 blog posts written by other interns.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Current college student
- English, communications, journalism and related majors preferred, but not required
- Passion for blogging and writing
- Good writer, team player, and technologically savvy
- Knowledge of WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Skype is a plus
- Minimum 3-month commitment (but longer if you’d like!)
- Summer Internship (June 10, 2013 – August 30, 2013)
- Academic credit is accepted, but not required to apply
Benefits:
- Unpaid part-time internship
- Work remotely on your own computer
- Time commitment is only 5-10 hours per week, unless you have more time than that!
- We’re flexible – write the posts or create videos whenever you have time during the week
- Learn about the blogging culture and a bit about social media from someone knowledgeable!
- Upon completion, you can create a portfolio of your published work
