Salary Range: CL 22/1 ($12.83 per hour) to CL 23/1 ($15.90 per hour)

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Information Technology and Support Services section of the Clerk’s Office seeks energetic interns for IT operations and IT helpdesk support. The incumbents will have an opportunity to shadow multiple positions and train in a variety of assignments. The positions are non-civil service temporary positions located in the office of the Clerk of Court, reporting to the Director of Information Technology.
These positions will begin after April 30, 2018, and start dates will vary from division to division. One or more positions may be filled in the Gainesville, Pensacola, and Tallahassee Divisions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• providing first level support at the IT Helpdesk to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware related issues;
• properly escalating unresolved queries to the next level support;
• testing and documenting innovative technology;
• assisting with asset inventory, data collection, and data analysis;
• may provide technical support in installing and configuring computer hardware and software programs; and performing other duties as assigned.
• receives, screens, and refers telephone calls; answers routine inquiries and provides assistance while maintaining excellent customer service skills and upholding confidentiality requirements.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The successful applicant must be a current college student in good academic standing or a recent college graduate. He/she must have one year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates the possession of, or the ability to acquire, the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. Education above the high school level may be substituted for required general experience on the basis of one academic year (30 semester or 45 quarter hours) equals one year of general experience. Preference will be given to students who have a major/minor in Information Technology or a related science field, or a strong interest and prior experience in Information Technology.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communications and customer service skills, along with solid research and analytical skills to investigate, troubleshoot, and share technical information. Experience with performing computer data entry and/or using word processing, spreadsheet and/or database applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel is required. In addition, the applicant must be mature, detail-oriented, and responsible. Adherence to the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees and court confidentiality policy is required.
Working knowledge of helpdesk software, advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills, website development, application development, understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy, virtual desktop, or VPN technology is a plus.
