The National Violence Against Women Law Enforcement Training and Technical Assistance Consortium (LETTAC) serves as the single, streamlined entry point for all Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) criminal justice-focused grantees and potential grantees (including prosecutors and members of civilian staff) to access resources and request training and technical assistance (TTA) to best respond to, investigate, and prosecute cases of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. LETTAC advances trauma-informed and victim-centered solutions; aids in the successful prosecution of these crimes; prioritizes offender accountability; and supports victim healing, safety, and justice. Position Description
The assistant researcher for LETTAC is responsible for providing logistical support for the development and delivery of criminal justice related TTA, educational and promotional products, and activities that support the mission of OVW.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of LETTAC-related documents, outreach products, and TTA materials
- Ensure appropriate inventory of programmatic materials for distribution to clients
- Draft meeting agendas
- Receive, organize, and track event registrations
- Prepare materials for scheduled trainings, classes, TTAs, and conferences; ensure that materials are packed, shipped, and delivered to host site
- Maintain administrative files
- Work with outside agencies to coordinate joint TTA efforts
- Communicate with attendees, LETTAC subject matter-experts (SMEs), instructors, and cohosts as needed
- On occasion, provide on-site coordination for meetings, events, and TTAs
- On occasion, document meeting proceedings and conduct post-activity follow-up
- May administer evaluation of LETTAC activities
- Support the engagement of LETTAC SMEs with the program; maintain LETTAC SME biographies, contact roster, and matrix of areas of interest and specialization

Knowledge and Skills
- Associate’s degree and a minimum of two years related work experience or a combination of education and professional experience to equal four years

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Most work is performed in a highly productive and fast-paced office environment with the flexibility to work remotely. Tasks may include preparing shipments of materials requiring the lifting and transporting (with or without reasonable accommodation) of shipment boxes typically weighing up to approximately 50 lbs. Occasional visits to the warehouse may be required. This position may require occasional travel.
