POSITION DESCRIPTION:

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is in the Bureau of Information Systems, Office of Enterprise Support. This position is the anchor for the Information Systems Helpdesk and is the first line of communication to our internal and external customers.
· Responsible for all incoming and outgoing requests.
· Provide new employee computer orientation (setting up computer equipment with current software).
· Assist with logging into all necessary applications and logging in to all necessary applications.
· Troubleshooting printer and scanner problems.
· Provide on-line phone support to field offices.
· Assist with inventory/ surplus.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Ability to analyze and resolve hardware, software and communication problems using technical troubleshooting processes.
· Configure new computers and update current computers with the most recent department standard software and/or hardware.
· Ability to provide training to department staff at headquarters and in the field (one on one or classroom setting).
· Knowledge of relevant software used by the program (Microsoft Office, Word, & Excel).
· Ability to lift 50lbs (moving computers and computer equipment).
· Assist with front Help Desk duties when needed (answering phones and entering information into tracking system).
· Strong written and communication skills.
Preference will be given to Department of Elder Affairs employees.
BACKGROUND CHECKS:
A Level 2 Criminal History Background Check to include fingerprinting will be conducted on the selected applicant.
