Responsibilities

Provides quality, effective, reliable, and responsive support to ITS customers; consultation and technical advice regarding their computing needs.  Serves as liaison between ITS customers and service providers, participant on policy and best practices development and procedures.

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, or modifies computer hardware, multimedia equipment, and related devices. Initiates routine diagnostics to determine cause of equipment failure and follows standard procedures for problem resolution. Installs and customizes application software.

Serves as a principal point of contact to answer inquiries and serves as liaison between end users and the appropriate Information Technology Services (ITS) area or University department able to provide problem resolution, within defined turnaround time.

Trains users on basic computer functions, software, or multimedia equipment to facilitate and enhance their work experience.

Maintains appropriate information relating to workstation configurations, replacement cycle, and planning.

Performs other duties as assigned. A State vehicle, golf cart, utility vehicle, or all-terrain vehicle will be used to reach site premises. A valid driver’s license will be needed in order to operate vehicle.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.

Experience with Microsoft Windows OS 7, 8, 8.1, and MAC OS 10.8, 10.9, 10.10.  Email clients (i.e., Outlook 2007, 2010, 2013), Microsoft Office 2007, 2010 and 2013. Basic understanding of Active Directory, and operating systems network configuration and troubleshooting.
Must be knowledgeable in a broad, constantly evolving assortment of IT policies, procedures, and technologies.
Experience with Customer Service.
Experience with computer operations, functions, and related peripherals
Experience with documenting processes (new and existing).
Experience prioritizing, organizing and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Experience working successfully in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers and subject matter experts.

Proof of a Florida or Georgia Driver’s License or ability to obtain.

Anticipated Salary Range

$19,700 (Negotiable based upon experience)

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
